Manikuakanishtik° Lookout

For several years, guide-interpreters had frequently received feedback from visitors regarding the site’s outdated condition. We were commissioned to rehabilitate the lookout through the design of an outdoor educational space that is permanent, safe, and engaging.

Located between the Lake Louise lookout and Route 389, this viewpoint was conceived as a place to highlight a Québec technical and technological landmark—an ode to local expertise. It offers a moment of pause within a vast territory where the scale and beauty of the landscape are celebrated, in full respect of the communities that have cared for it for centuries.
